Karl Lengfeld is the codename for Carlos Roldán.
A sound designer and developer from Cádiz. Records first, under other names, now his own. It all lives under lengfeld+, the studio and open door.
The story
Carlos Roldán is from Cádiz, on the south coast of Spain. He started young: Pivot Animator was his first adventure with computer graphics, and Music 2000 his first with sound. Kid stuff, just for fun, and that part never changed.
The tools grew up with him, but the habit stayed the same. For years the music earned its keep out of sight, in productions and records released under other people's names.
Karl Lengfeld is the name he puts on the work now, and lengfeld+ is where it lives, made on his own terms at last.
The company
That practice hardened into a studio. lengfeld+ is the bench where the work gets made now, across music, design and software, with a record label on the way and a line of original instruments and tools.
His own music stays under his own name. Everything else carries the +, the door he opens to other makers.
